West Point – Mrs. Alice C. Osborn, 88 of West Point, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday in Home Hospital where she was admitted three weeks ago. A native of Vermillion County, she lived most of her life Fountain County before moving to West Point in 1969. She was married in 1915 to Ralph M. Osborn who died in 1970. Mrs. Osborn was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Mildred Byers of West Point and Mrs. Ruth Trott of Lafayette; one brother, Cleve Howard of Covington and a sister, Mrs. Florence Thomas of Stayton, Oregon. - kbz

Alice C. Osborn of West Point, age 88, died Tuesday night, March 15, in Home Hospital at Lafayette. She was born in Vermillion County, November 15, 1894, the daughter of William H. and Mary A. Hobson Howard. January 12, 1915, she married Ralph M. Osborn, who died March 11, 1970. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. Mrs. Osborn had been a resident of Fountain County most of her life, moving to West Point in 1969.

  Surviving are two daughters, Mildred Byers of West Point and Ruth Trott of Lafayette; a sister, Florence Thomas of Stayton, Oregon; a brother, Cleve Howard of Covington; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Willis Syphers officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
